Job Stressors Among Primary School Teachers in Syrian Jarablus City

Öz

The study aimed to identify the factors of work stress among primary school teachers in the Syrian city of Jarablus. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method. The study sample consisted of 147 male and female teachers from primary schools in the city of Jarabes, using a stratified random sample method. A scale consisting of 34 items distributed over eight main factors was also used. The study concluded with a set of results, the most important of which are: The average job stressors among teachers are (M= 2.56, 63.66%). Factors such as position and pay, poor student performance, appraisal of teachers, and length of working hours have all reached high levels. While the factors of job burden, parental stress average stress level. And colleague relations and school administration, with low levels of stressors. The results showed no differences in the level of stress due to the variables: gender, marital status, experience, and educational qualification.
