Fan Stilian Noli, who opened his eyes in İbriktepe village of İpsala district of today's Edirne province, is one of the important figures of Albanian history, Albanian Orthodox faith, and Albanian literature. As a politician, he aimed to make Albania a democratic and modern country with the 1924 June Revolution, but he remained in power for only six months. In addition, Noli, an Orthodox priest, was also prominent in the establishment of the Independent Albanian Orthodox Church. He published his poems in many magazines and newspapers, played an important role in explaining the history of Albania of the period, and made a considerable contribution to Albanian literature with his translations from world classics.
