Turkish literature in the Balkans was formed when the Turks stepped into this geography in the 14th century; a literary tradition was created by giving almost all kinds of works over time. One of the important representatives of Turkish literature in the Balkans, especially in Bulgaria, is Mehmet Behçet Perim, who is known for his identity as a poet, writer and journalist. Balkan Çiçekleri (Balkan Flowers) is the first novel of the author, published in 1938, who gave many kinds of works such as poetry, story, play, and column. The theme of the work, which has similarities with the first examples of the Turkish novel in terms of structure and theme, and especially carries traces from Namık Kemal, is love. However, this theme was handled with the idea of strengthening the love of homeland and national awareness.
In this study, text analysis method is used with biographical method, and the biography of the author is presented with its main lines. In addition to the content features of the novel named Balkan Çiçekleri, it has been also examined in terms of structure elements such as person, time, place, language and wording.
