KAVUŞTUK YAZITI VE DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ /

Kavuştuk village is located in 123 km northeast of Bitlis province, and 37 km east of Adilcevaz county. The Kavuştuk Inscription, the sizes of which is 190 x 75 x 40 cm, is currently exhibited in Adilcevaz Museum. The Inscription, which is in the form of a damnation inscription, belongs to the period of the Urartian King Argişti I. Two of the damnation type of inscriptions date back to the period of the Urartian King Menua ( B.C 810-786). With the addition of the Kavuştuk Inscription, the number of damnation inscriptions is now three. Argişti, Son of Menua says that anyone to damage the inscription will be exposed to the wrath of the God Haldi, the God of Storm, and the God of Sun in the inscription. Damnation inscriptions were usually found in an area where there were many other inscriptions as well, which makes it possible to expect to discover some other Urartu Inscriptions in course of time

Kavuştuk Köyü, Bitlis ilinin 123 km. kuzeydoğusunda, Adilcevaz ilçesinin 37 km. doğusunda ter almaktadır. Kavuştuk Yazıtı, 190X75X40 cm ebatlarında olup Adilcevaz Müzesinde bulunmaktadır. Kavuştuk Yazıtı, Urartu Kralı I. Argişti dönemine aittir. Kavuştuk Yazıtı, I. Argişti dönemine ait tek başına lanet metni formundadır. Lanet formlu yazıtların iki tanesi Urartu Kralı Menua ( M.Ö 810- 786) dönemine aittir. Kavuştuk Yazıtı ile lanet yazıtı sayısı üçe çıkmış bulunmaktadır. Yazıtta Menuaoğlu Argişti “ Yazıtı tahrip eden kişi ya da kişilerin Tanrı Haldi, Fırtına Tanrısı ve Güneş Tanrısının gazabına uğraması gerektiğini söylemiştir. Genellikle lanet metinli yazıtlar, birçok yazıtın bulunduğu alanlarda ele geçirilmiştir. Dolayısıyla Kavuştuk yerleşmesinde de birden fazla Urartu Yazıtının bulunması muhtemeldir.
