Öz

Bu çalışma, Paris 2024 Olimpiyatları’nın ekonomik ve sosyal etkilerini analiz etmektedir. Olimpiyat Oyunları’nın tarihsel gelişimi incelenmiş ve bu konuyla ilgili literatürdeki önemli çalışmalar öz bir şekilde değerlendirilmiştir. Olimpiyat Oyunları, ev sahibi ülkeler için hem ekonomik büyüme hem de kalkınma açısından önemli fırsatlar sunmakta; ancak bu fırsatlar, aynı zamanda yüksek maliyetler ve uzun vadeli risklerle de birlikte gelmektedir. Literatürdeki önceki çalışmalar gözden geçirilerek, Olimpiyatlar’ın ekonomik etkilerine ilişkin araştırma bulguları sunulmuş ve ülkeler arası karşılaştırmalı bir analiz yapılmıştır. Ayrıca, bu çalışma Olimpiyat Oyunları’nın tarihsel arka planını ve Paris 2024’ün potansiyel ekonomik etkilerini kapsamlı bir şekilde ele almaktadır.

The Economic and Social Impacts of the Olympics: A Study on the Paris 2024 Olympics

Öz

This study analyzes the economic and social impacts of the Paris 2024 Olympics. The historical development of the Olympic Games is examined, and significant studies on this topic in the literature are evaluated in a concise manner. The Olympic Games present substantial opportunities for host countries in terms of both economic growth and development; however, these opportunities are also accompanied by high costs and long-term risks. By reviewing previous studies in the literature, the findings of research on the economic impacts of the Olympics are presented, offering a comparative analysis between countries. Additionally, this study thoroughly addresses the historical background of the Olympic Games and the potential economic impacts of Paris 2024.
