In order to contribute to the geographic distribution of species and the oribatid fauna of Turkey, liacarid mites inhabiting in the Harşit valley were evaluated from the taxonomic point of view, based on samples collected in 2013 and 2014. In the extraction of mites from soil, litter, moss and lichen collected from the investigation area was used a BerleseTullgren funnel extractor. Extracted mites were killed, fixed and stored in 80% ethanol. The light and scanning electron microscopes (SEM) were used to examine mites. The compound microscopic examinations of specimens were made in lactic acid, mounted in temporary cavity slides. Scanning electron microscope images of all determined taxa were taken. As a result of the evaluation of the examined mite samples, total four species belonging to the genera Adoristes Hull, 1916 and Liacarus Michael, 1898 from the family Liacaridae Sellnick, 1928 were determined. Of these, Adoristes (A.) poppei (Oudemans, 1906), Liacarus (L.) xylariae (Schrank, 1803) and Liacarus (Dorycranosus) zachvatkini Kulijew, 1962 are new records for the Turkish fauna; Liacarus (L.) coracinus (Koch, 1841) have already been determined in Turkey. In conclusion, their morphological features were reviewed along with the SEM images based on our samples.

Türkiye oribatid faunasına ve türlerin coğrafi yayılışına katkı sağlamak amacıyla Harşit Vadisi’nde yaşayan
liacarid akarlar, 2013 ve 2014 yıllarında toplanan örnekler esas alınarak taksonomik bakımdan değerlendirildi. Araştırma
bölgesinden toplanan toprak, döküntü, yosun ve liken benzeri materyalden akarların seçilmesinde Berlese-Tullgren huni
düzeneği kullanıldı. Seçilen akarlar %80’lik etil alkolde öldürüldü, tespit edildi ve depolandı. Akarların incelenmesinde
ışık ve tarama elektron mikroskopları kullanıldı. Örneklerin mikroskobik incelemesi çukur lamda geçici olarak
hazırlanmış laktik asitli ortamlarda yapıldı. İncelenen akar örneklerinin değerlendirilmesi sonucunda, Liacaridae Sellnick,
1928 familyasından Adoristes Hull, 1916 ve Liacarus Michael, 1898 cinslerine ait toplam dört tür tespit edildi. Bunlardan,
Adoristes (A.) poppei (Oudemans, 1906), Liacarus (L.) xylariae (Schrank, 1803) ve Liacarus (Dorycranosus) zachvatkini
