An experiment with malathion EM on khapra beetle larvae and the adults of Tribolium castanaeeum, in the laboratory

Abstract

In the recent years the Khapra beetle has became a very important pest in our cereal stores, especially in the southern part of Turkey. According to the investigations made, some formulations which have active against ingredients as DDT. W Khapra beetle in the emey cereal stores. For this reason we wanted to use another formulation as Malathion EM. for controlling Khapra beetle, Before using it in the emey stores, we have tested Malathion EM. on Khapra beetle laboratory conditions. The results of this experiment are being shown on tile table 1. Both 0,1 and 0,2 % mixing have given good results. Before recommending then for general application, We suggest that .the same experiment should be repeated under natural conditions.
