The investigation of the reactions of wheat varieties and lines to smut disease (<em>Ustilago nude tritici</em> Schaffn.) in Marmara Region.

Abstract

This research was conducted in 1993 to determine the reactions of commercial wheat varieties grown in Marmara Region and lines used in Breeding studies to wheat smut disease and finished 1997. The experiments were conducted in Institute treatment field area. In these experiments, 123 wheat varieties and breeding lines were tested and 98 varieties were found resistance. From wheat varieties Pehlivan was found resistant, Prostor and Saros were found susceptible. They were used in wheat breeding programme.

Öz

Buğday çeşit ve hatlarının buğday rastık hastalığına karşı göstermiş olduğu reaksiyonları tespit etmek için yürütülmüş olan bu projeye 1993 yılında başlanılmış ve 1997 yılında sonuçlandırılmıştır. Denemeler Edirne'de Enstitünün deneme arazisinde yürütülmüştür. Denemelerde kullanılan 123 hattan 98'i hastalığa karşı dayanıklı bulunurken, Bölgede ekimi yapılan buğday çeşitlerinden Pehlivan hastalığa dayanıklı bulunurken Prostor ve Saros ise hassas bulunmuştur.
