Taxonomic investigations on the species of Tylenchida (Nematoda) in sunflower (<em>Helianthus annuus</em> L.) fields in Marmara Region
Abstract
In this study, plant parasitic species of Tylenchida (Nematoda) in the sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) fields in Marmara Region (Edirne, Kırklareli and Tekirdağ) were examined considering their two main aspects, namely faunistic and taxonomic. In 2000, during the summer months (Jun, July, August), when adult Tylenchida species were more abundant, soil and plant root samples were taken, from these samples, nematodes were extracted, prepared and the ones belonging to Tylenchida were measured and identified. Identification, synonyms, possible variations, distribution and habitats of each species are given, as a result of both laboratory studies and literature records. With this, totally 30 species were determined of which these species were of 24 genus of 14 subfamilies of 9 families of Tylenchoidea, Dolichodoridea, Hoplolaimoidea, Criconematoidea, Hemicylio-phoroidea, Tylenchuloidea, Anguinoidea superfamilies of Tylenchina, Criconematina, Hexatylina suborder of Tylenchina order. Among these species, Sakia alii Suryawanshi, 1971; Aglenchus fragariae Szczygiel, 1969; Ottolenchus longicauda Maqbool and Shahina, 1985; Tylenchorhynchus badliensis Saha and Khan, 1981; Dolichorhynchus phaseoli (Sethi and Swarup, 1968) Mulk and Jairajpuri, 1974; Belonolaimus longicaudatus Rau, 1958; Hemicriconemoides strictathecatus Esser, 1960; Hemicycliophora corbetti Siddiqi, 1980; Paratylenchus rotundicephalus Bajaj, 1987 and Ditylenchus geraerti (Paramonov, 1970) Bello and Geraert, 1972 were determined for the first time in the nematoda fauna of Türkiye. The most encountered species in this study were Pratylenchus zeae; Coslenchus alacinatus and Scutylenchus tesellatus.

Öz
Bu çalışmada Marmara Bölgesi'nde (Edirne, Kırklareli ve Tekirdağ) ayçiçeği (Helianthus annuus L.) ekiliş alanlarında bulunan Tylenchida (Nematoda) takımına ait bitki paraziti türlerin faunistik ve taksonomik olmak üzere iki bölümde incelenmesi yapılmıştır. 2000 yılında ergin Tylenchida türlerinin yoğun bulunduğu yaz aylarında (Haziran, Temmuz, Ağustos) toprak ve kök örnekleri alınmıştır. Alınan toprak ve kök örneklerinden elde edilen nematodların daimi preparatları hazırlanarak, Tylenchida takımına ait türlerin ölçüm ve teşhisleri yapılmıştır. Her türün tanımı, sinonimleri, görülen varyasyonlar, çalışma kapsamına giren alanlardaki yayılışı, literatürde kayıtlı yayılışı ve habitatları verilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda Tylenchida takımının Tylenchina, Criconematina ve Hexatylina alttakımlarına bağlı Tylenchoidea, Dolichodoroidea, Hoplolaimoidea, Criconematoidea, Hemicycliophoroidae, Tylenchuloidea ve Anguinoidea üst familyalarından 9 familya, 14 alt familya ve 24 cins'e bağlı 30 tür saptanmıştır. Tespit edilen türlerden, Sakia alii Suryawanshi, 1971; Aglenchus fragariae Szczygiel, 1969; Ottolenchus longicauda Maqbool and Shahina, 1985; Tylenchorhynchus badliensis Saha and Khan, 1981; Dolichorhynchus phaseoli (Sethi and Swarup, 1968) Mulk and Jairajpuri, 1974; Belonolaimus longicaudatus Rau, 1958; Hemicriconemoides strictathecatus Esser, 1960; Hemicycliophora corbetti Siddiqi, 1980; Paratylenchus rotundicephalus Bajaj, 1987 ve Ditylenchus geraerti (Paramonov, 1970) Bello and Geraert, 1972 Türkiye nematod faunası için yeni kayıttır. Çalışmada saptanan en yaygın türler; Pratylenchus zeae, Coslenchus alacinatus ve Scutylenchus tesellatus'dur.
