In biological control studies, production of natural enemies are very important as known. Trissolcus species are the most effective natural enemy of sunn pest which is the main harmful of wheat. The suitable alternative host ofthe egg parasitoids Trissolcus semistriatus Nees (Hym.: Scelionidae) of sunn pest for production in laboratory condition was determined and storage of host eggs opportunities was investigated in 2002-2003 in this study.
Eight Pentatomidae species (Codophila varia Fabricius, Dolycoris baccarum L., Eurydema blandum Horvath, Eurydema oleraceum L, Eurydema ornatum L., Eurydema ventrale Kolenati, Graphosoma lineatum L. and Graphasoma semipunctatum F.) were collected from cereal fields and weeds from Ankara, Aksaray, Çankırı and Eskişehir provinces. These species were reared in climate chamber of 16:8 photoperiod, at 25±1 oC temperature and %65±5 humudity and were fed with weeds, soybeans, tobacco seeds, peanuts and sunflower seeds for producing their eggs. Daily eggs of Pentatomidae species were stored during 1-12 months in -80°C deep-freezer. Experiment was set up as ten repetitions for each storage durition and it was admitted that about 14 number eggs is present in each egg package.
