A new blackberry pest for Turkey Fauna, em Acalitus essigi em (Hassan, 1928) (Acari: Prostigmata: Eriophyoidea)

Abstract

A new pest on blackberry for Turkey fauna, Acalitus essigi Hassan (Acari: Eriophyoidae) was determined first time in blackberry orchards in Marmara region in 2009. It is known as the Redberry mite, a serious pest of commercially-produced blackberries.

Öz

Türkiye Eriophyidae faunası için yeni bir tür olan Acalitus essigi Hassan (Böğürtlen akarı) (Acari: Eriophyoidae) ilk defa Marmara Bölgesi'nde 2009 yılında saptanmıştır. Bu zararlı dünyada Redberry mite olarak bilinmekte ve böğürtlen yetiştiriciliğinin önemli zararlılarından biri olarak kabul edilmektedir.
