This study was conducted in Kahramanmaraş Agriculture Research Institute experimental areas between 2009 and 2010. The goals are determinationthe susceptibility of cotton varieties and variety candidates, were developed against Verticillium wilt disease by breed studies furthermore cotton varieties, were brought from abroad and registered in Turkey, against wilt disease, and determining yield and some lint quality features of varieties. It was conducted with 13 cotton varieties with randomized complete blocks design with three replicates in areas, were naturally contaminated with Verticillium wilt disease. Wilt infection counting was determined from leaves at 5-10 % and 50-60 % boll opened period of cotton varieties and accessions. Finally, it was determined from stem cuttings at after harvest, using 0-3 scale. It was determined that; cotton varieties displayed important differences in terms of features analyzed in this study. Disease counting results; the variety Teks was determined as the most tolerant and followed by GSN-12, ST-468, Ayhan-107, BA-525 respectively. The variety Çukurova-1518 placed in the most susceptible disease group and followed by DP-388, Ekşi-911, Menderes-2005 respectively. The variety Çukurova-1518 was caught wilt disease an early period and was found to be as susceptible, gave the lowest yield value. It was observed that; wilt disease particularly had an effect on yield, decreasing the fiber maturity and increasing the short fiber index, furthermore negligible level of negative correlation was observed between wilt disease and fiber length, strength, fineness.
