Öz

The primary aim of this study is to emphasize the importance of adopting a holistic perspective when examining a destination and to reveal the complex network of relationships within the tourism ecosystem of the Rock Sites of Cappadocia (Avanos, Derinkuyu, Göreme, Kaymaklı, Ortahisar, Uçhisar ve Ürgüp). The absence or limited number of value chain analysis studies focused on the tourism sector in the area serves as another justification for this analysis. In this context, the study aims to conduct a value chain analysis of the tourism sector in the Rock Sitesi of Cappadocia, mapping out all significant sectors and subsectors present in the area. Additionally, the research seeks to understand the nature of the interactions between sectors, subsectors, and supporting elements, as well as their impact on the quality of goods and services provided. The study utilizes qualitative analysis methods to present the relationships between sectors and institutions based on data collected from key actors operating in the region. The findings offer a detailed overview of the tourism sector’s network structure, providing valuable insights into the dynamic level of relationships that shape the tourism value chain and contribute to competitive advantage in the region.
