Öz

Paul Auster ve Orhan Pamuk eserlerinde benzer yazı teknikleri kullanırlar. Bu yazarlar için New Yorkve İstanbul karakterlerinin bir arayış içinde olduğu sembolik yerleşim merkezleridir. Her iki yazar dadedektif romanı kalıplarının ötesine geçerek, yazarın konumu ve yaratıcılık süreci konusunda söylemekistediklerini öykünün konusu ile doğrudan ilintili olmayan bölümlerde tartışırlar. Auster ve Pamuk bubağlamdaki amaçlarına ulaşmak için üstkurmaca tekniklerini kullanırlar
