Ki ilik, genetik ve memetik sistemlerin etkile im arayüzüdür. Bireyler aras farkl l klar n organizma düzeyindeki göstergesi, zeka-yetenek ve ki ilik motiflerinin çe itlili idir. Genetik sistemlerdeki polimorfizm, ki ili in ve bireysel farkl l klar n biyolojik kökenleriyle ili kilidir. Reptilian, mezolimbik ve neokorteks eklinde üç bölüme ayr lan beyin bölgelerinin ve sa -sol yar mkürelerindeki bask nlgösterilmi tir. Ki ilik özellikleri ile monoaminlerin ortalama düzeyleri aras nda güçlü korelasyonlar vard r. Ki ilik özelliklerindeki varyasyonun önemli bir yüzdesi, genetik faktörlerden kaynaklanmaktad r.
