Coins from Allianoi Excavations: Campaign of 2000

During the campaign of 2000 at Allianoi, 889 coins, an Austrian counting piece/jetton (cat. no. 597) and a Byzantine weight (cat. no. 567) were unearthed (totaly 891 pieces)1. Since the coins found at Maymun Sekisi Tepesi near Allianoi were previously published they excluded from the catalogue.2 The first group covers the Classical and Hellenistic coins from Aeolis and Mysia (cat. nos. 1-8). While Aeolis is represented with Cyme and Lesbos; Mysia is represented with Pergamon.
