Oral yolla silikon dioksit uygulanan ishalli buzağılarda fekal yansıma ile gizli temizlik skorlarında değişim sağlanabilir mi?

Öz

Amaç: Fitoterapötik ve doğal ürünlerin kullanımı giderek yaygınlaşmaktadır. Doğal ürünlere dönüş ve normalde besinsel öğe şeklinde değerlendirilen yem katkı maddelerinin kullanımı ile ilaca bağlı rekasiyon ve çevresel kirlenmenin önüne geçilebilinir. Bu çalışmanın çıkış noktasında amaç ile doğru orantılı olarak ülkemizdeki güncel doğal yem katkı maddelerinden birisi olan silikon dioksitin diyareik ve non-diyareik iki değişik sınıflandırmada yer teşekkül eden buzağılarda gizli temizlik skoru (gTs) ile fekal yansıma (fy)’ya ilişkin etkilerinin tespiti amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Aydın ilinde mevcut coğrafik lokasyonda pozisyonu bulunan özel bir buzağı yetiştiriciliği ünitesinde 14 ishalli, 12’si sağlıklı görünümde olmak üzere yirmi altı buzağıda gTs ve fy 0 ile 3 puantaj arası değerlendirildikten sonra her 2 grup buzağıya da silikon dioksit oral yolla 1 hafta süre ile 10’ar gr uygulandı. Bulgular: On dört diyareik buzağılarda 1-3 arası beliren fy’ye ait skorlar silikon dioksit uygulaması sonrası 4 olguda skor 1’e düşerken, geride kalan 10’unda 0 olarak tespit edildi. Sağlıklı 12 buzağıda 0-2 arasında değişen fy skorları uygulama sonrası tüm olgularda 0 olarak belirdi. Öbür taraftan gTs irdelendiğinde diyareik buzağılarda 2-3 arası değişirken, silikon dioksit uygulaması sonrası 0-1 arası değişti. Sağlıklı olgularda uygulama öncesi ve sonrası sırası ile 0-3 ile 0-1 arası değişim vardı. Sonuç: Gerek gTs gerekse fy’de gözle görülür değişikliklerin belirlenmesi silikon dioksitin saha pratiğinde bu çalışmada önerilen dozda etkili olabileceğine dair ipuçları vermektedir.

Can there be a change in latent cleanliness scores with fecal reflection in diarrheal calves administered orally with silicon dioxide?

Öz

Aim: The use of phytotherapeutic and natural products is becoming increasingly common. Drug-related reactions and environmental pollution can be prevented by turning to natural products and using feed additives, which are normally considered as nutritional elements. At the starting point of this study, it was aimed to determine the effects of silicon dioxide, one of the current natural feed additives in our country, on the latent cleansing score (gTs) and fecal reflection (fy) in calves that are in two different classifications, diarrheal and non-diarrheal. Materials and Methods: In a calf breeding unit located in the geographic region of Aydın, 26 calves, 14 with diarrhea and 12 appearing healthy, were evaluated using a scoring system ranging from 0 to 3 for gTs and fy. After this evaluation, both groups of calves were administered 10 grams of silicon dioxide orally for one week. Results: The fy scores, which appeared between 1 and 3 in fourteen diarrheal calves, decreased to 1 in 4 cases after silicon dioxide application, while the remaining 10 were found to be 0. Fy scores, which ranged between 0-2 in 12 healthy calves, appeared as 0 in all cases after the application. On the other hand, when gTs was examined, while it varied between 2-3 in diarrheal calves, it changed between 0-1 after silicon dioxide application. In healthy cases, there was a change between 0-3 and 0-1 before and after the application, respectively. Conclusion: Determination of visible changes in both gTs and fy gives clues that silicon dioxide may be effective in field practice at the dose recommended in this study.
