Covid-19 Pandemisi Sırasında Uzaktan Çalışmanın Artan Önemi: Bilinen Yanlışlar ve Doğruları

Öz

2020 yılında yaşanan Covid-19 pandemisi dünyayı sarsmış, küresel bir krize neden olmuş ve yüzyılın en büyük felaketlerinden biri haline gelmiştir. Pandemi sırasında, benzeri görülmemiş sayıda ofis çalışanı uzaktan çalışmaya geçiş yapmış, bununla birlikte liderler ve girişimciler fiziksel bir ofise bağlı olmayan işyeri stratejilerinin önemini fark etmişlerdir. Literatürde uzaktan çalışmanın çeşitli yönleri ve uzaktan çalışmayla ilgili alanları kapsayan birçok araştırma olmakla birlikte, uzaktan çalışmanın tam olarak ne olduğu yanı sıra bireysel ve örgütsel olarak hangi sonuçlara sahip olduğu konusunda da hala bilinmeyen hatta yanlış bilinen birçok bilgi söz konusudur. Bu araştırmada, literatürdeki bu boşluğu doldurmak amacıyla öncelikle uzaktan çalışmaya dair kavramsal çerçeve sunulmakta, daha sonra uzaktan çalışmanın tarihsel gelişimi, uzaktan çalışmaya dair yanlış bilinenler ve uzaktan çalışmanın avantajları ve dezavantajları ele alınmakta, son olarak da Covid-19 pandemisinin uzaktan çalışma üzerindeki etkileri incelenmektedir

Öz

The Covid-19 pandemic in the year 2020 shook the world, caused a global crisis and became one of the biggest disasters of the century. During the pandemic, an unprecedented number of office workers switched to remote work, while leaders and entrepreneurs have recognized the importance of workplace strategies that are not dependent on a physical office. Although there are many studies that cover various aspects of remote work and areas related to remote work, there is still a lot of unknown or even misunderstood information about what exactly remote work is and which individual and organizational outcomes it has. In this study, in order to fill this gap in the literature, first the conceptual framework of remote work is presented, then the history of remote work, the misconceptions of remote work and the advantages and the disadvantages of remote work are discussed and finally, the effects of Covid-19 pandemic on remote work are examined
