Echoes of Ataturk’s Passing in Bulgarian Public Opinion

Abstract

Since its founding, the Republic of Turkey has followed a different foreign policy from the Otoman Empire. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's principles of foreign policy were based on realizm, irenic, equality of nations and security systems which were applied in the framework of full independence and national sovereignty. All of these features gave Ataturk a huge prestige not only in the Eastern world but also in the Western world which is the defender of contemporary values. Numerous book about him which were published during his lifetime and after his death is the result of this prestige.

Atatürk’ün Vefatının Bulgaristan Kamuoyundaki Yankıları

Öz

Türkiye Cumhuriyeti kuruluşundan itibaren Osmanlı Devleti'nden farklı bir dış politika izledi. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk'ün dış politika ilkeleri tam bağımsızlık ve ulusal egemenlik çerçevesinde uygulanan gerçekçilik, barış taraftarlığı, ulusların eşitliği ve güvenlik sistemlerine dayanmaktaydı. Tüm bu özellikler O'nun yalnızca Doğu dünyasında değil, çağdaş değerlerin savunucusu olma niteliğiyle Batı dünyasında da büyük bir saygınlık kazanmasına neden oldu. Yaşamı boyunca ve vefatından sonra dünya yayın literatüründe yerini alan sayısız eser işte bu saygınlığın sonucudur.
