Muharrem Afandt az-Zi11and His Book "Hadeyyatu'ş şu'hik"
Abstract
Muharrem Afandr az-zıır a respected scholar of the Ottoman State
who lived in X./XVI. century. In addition to being murshid of the
order of Halvatiyya is a good jurist and linguist. His enlightening
books which he wrote in Arabic and Turkish are very valuable
works. He was born in Tokat/Zile and died there. His book titled Hadeyyatu'ş-şu'/Uk is a commentary of Totıfetu'lmu/u1<:
that is written by Zaynuddin ar-Ra-zr. This book is about furlf-i
fıqh and based on Hanarı sect ijtihads, but it mentions views
of the other sects. The book consists of ten chapters and mainly
covers the issues of worship. At the same time it says the provisions
by their reasons and evidences.
