AL-RAZI'S INTERPRETATION OF VERSES RELATED TO THE SOLAR SYSTEM IN HIS TAFSIR AL-KABIR

Abstract

This study consists of three parts. In the fırst section, the meanings of the verse about the celestial bodies are included. In the second section, Fahreddin Razi (ö. 606/1210)'s lifetime by considering are summarized in the Islamic history of astronomy. In the third section, Razi's verses about the celestial bodies how to interpretation that are explained. His main purpose while he is purposing these verses, evidence for the existence and unity of Gad has been to bring them. Razi has interpreted the verses the knowledge era. This is why same of his descriptions, time to time modern astronomy may be contradictory the data of the science.

RAZİ'NİN TEFSİR-İ KEBIR'DE GÜNEŞ SİSTEMİ İLE İLGİLİ AYETLERİ YORUMLAMASI

Öz

Bu çalışma, üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde gök cisimleriyle ilgili ayet mealierine yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Fahreddin Razi (ö. 606/1210)'nin yaşadığı dönem de göz önünde bulundurularak İslam astronomi tarihi özetlenmiştir. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde ise, Razi'nin gök cisimleriyle ilgili ayetleri nasıl tefsir ettiği ele alınmıştır. Onun bu ayetleri tefsir ederken en temel amacı, bunları Allah'ın varlığına ve birliğine delil getirmesi olmuştur. Razi, ilgili ayetleri çağının bilgi birikimiyle tefsir etmiştir. Bu yüzden onun bazı açıklamaları, zaman zaman modern astronomi biliminin verilerine ters düşebilmektedir.
