Öz

Granüloza hücreli tümörleri içeren over seks kord stromal tümörleri, özellikle çocuklarda nadir görülen tümörlerdir. Juvenil ve yetişkin tip olarak iki gruba ayrılırlar. Juvenil granüloza hücreli tümörler (JGHT) tüm granüloza hücreli tümörlerin %5’ini içerir. Puberte prekoks, hormonal değişiklikler ile ilişkili bu tümörlerin en sık görülen bulgusudur. Vakaların çoğu evre I olarak sınıflandırılır ve tedavinin temelini cerrahi oluşturur. Bu yazıda, 3 aydır meme büyümesi ve karın şişliği şikâyeti olan, 7 yaşındaki bir kız çocuğunda görülen ve ileri evre olan nadir bir JGHT olgusunu sunulmuştur.

A rare tumor of the ovary causing precocious puberty: Juvenile granulosa cell tumor

Öz

Ovarian sex cord stromal tumors, including granulosa cell tumors, are rare tumors, especially in children. They are divided into two groups: juvenile and adult types. Juvenile granulosa cell tumors (JGCT) comprise 5% of all granulosa cell tumors. Precocious puberty is the most common finding of these tumors associated with hormonal changes. Most cases are classified as stage I and surgery forms the basis of the treatment. In this article, we present a rare case of advanced stage JGCT in a 7-year-old girl who had complaints of breast enlargement and abdominal swelling for 3 months.
