Allergic rhinitis approach in primary healthcare

Öz

Allergic rhinitis is a disease that can be seen in almost one third of societies and affect the quality of life. It has various symptoms and can also be seen combined with other diseases. Although the treatment method can vary based on the patient's characteristics, generally, avoiding the allergen, which is considered to be the source of allergy, and pharmacotherapy are sufficient. The treatment for allergic rhinitis can be performed in primary healthcare services which adopts a holistic approach. However, if the recovery of the patient cannot be achieved, they need to be directed to the otorhinolaryngology department and surgical treatment options and, if necessary, immunotherapy treatment options should be considered.

Birinci basamakta alerjik rinit yaklaşımı

Öz

Alerjik rinit, toplumların neredeyse üçte birinde görülebilen ve yaşam kalitesini etkileyen bir hastalıktır. Çeşitli belirtileri vardır ve başka hastalıklarla birlikte de görülebilir. Tedavi yöntemi hastanın özelliklerine göre değişebilmekle birlikte genellikle alerjinin kaynağı olarak kabul edilen alerjenden uzak durulması ve farmakoterapi yeterli olmaktadır. Alerjik rinit tedavisi bütüncül yaklaşımı benimseyen birinci basamak sağlık hizmetlerinde yapılabilmektedir. Ancak hastanın iyileşmesi sağlanamazsa kulak burun boğaz bölümüne yönlendirilerek cerrahi tedavi seçenekleri ve gerekirse immünoterapi tedavi seçenekleri düşünülmelidir.
