Aim of this study is the determination of the relationship between economic growth and energy consumption in OECD countries between 1987 and 2007 employing the variables as primary energy consumption and gross domestic product Econometric techniques and panel data set panel unit root test and panel cointegration test have applied Long term cointegration between primary energy concumption and gross domestic product has been investigated and has reached the conclusion that there exist a relation between the two variables as the economic theory has stated Keywords: Economic growth Energy consumption Cointegration
