Religion is the inseparable part of the humanlife. So, in national and international platforms the problem as to how religious education should be carried out is one of the matters of debated. In this context, many reports have been published about the models of religious education. Toledo Guiding Principles on Teaching about Religions and Beliefs in Public Schools is a report in which teaching about religion has been offered. Within this framework, in this article, the following subjects have been discussed: What are Toledo Guiding Principles, aims of these principles, reasons for the teaching about religion, and acquisition of teaching about religion, ect. Then, curriculum of religious culture and ethics course and Toledo Guiding Principles have been compared. Besides, the meaning of Toledo Guiding Principles for curriculum of religious culture and ethics course have been discussed
