In this study, which we called it as the Discussion of Caliphate: Example of Sayyid Bey and Sheikh ul-Islam Mustapha Sabri, we tried to examine com- paratively how a modernist religious scholar like Sayyid Bey, who defended the abolishment of the caliphate and a traditionalist religious scholar like Mustapha Sabri, who was the strict defender of the institution of caliphate, treated the sub- ject matter
