Axillary Basal Cell Carcinom

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common cutaneous cancer worldwide. The main causative factor is exposure to chronic ultraviolet radiation. It usually occurs on sun-exposed areas such as face and neck, but it may also occur on sun-protected areas. Axillary location of basal cell carcinoma is very rare.

Here we will present a case of 73-year-old man with basal cell carcinoma of axilla. The aim of our report is to draw attention to the rare location of this frequent skin malignancy.

Aksiller bazal hücreli karsinom

Öz

Bazal hücreli karsinom, dünya çapında en yaygın deri kanseridir. Başlıca nedensel faktör, kronik ultraviole ışınlarına maruziyettir. Genellikle baş ve boyun gibi güneşe maruz kalan alanlarda görülür, ancak güneşten korunmuş alanlarda da oluşabilir. Bazal hücreli karsinom’un aksiller lokalizasyonu çok nadirdir.

Burada, aksiller bölgede bazal hücreli karsinom saptanan 73 yaşında bir erkek olgu sunulacaktır. Amacımız, bu sık görülen deri kanserinin nadir lokalizasyonlarına dikkat çekmektir.
