Öz

Posterior üretral valv (PUV) erkek infantlarda alt üriner traktüste idrar akımında obstrüksiyon yaratan nedenlerden en sık görülenidir. İki aylık antenatal hidronefroz nedeni ile izlenen erkek olgu PUV tanısı almış, cerrahi uygulanmış ve takip edilmektedir. PUV erken tanı ve hızlı tedavi ile iyi yönetilebilen ancak buna rağmen sekellerle seyredebilen, uzun süreli izlem gerektiren bir hastalık olduğu için akılda tutulmalıdır.

BABY WITH PELVIC DILATATION

Öz

Posterior urethral valve (PUV) is the most common cause of urinary output flow of lower urinary system in male infants. Two months old male infant with known antenatal hydronephrosis has been diagnosed as PUV, operated and being followed up. PUV can be successfully managed with early diagnosis and rapid treatment, however it should be kept in mind since it may cause sequela and long-term follow up is required.
