2009-2018 arasında Türkiye'de intihar hızı ve ilişkili özellikler

Öz

GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Bu çalışmada 2009-2018 yılları arasında Türkiye’de meydana gelen intiharların tanımlanması ve on yıllık süreç içindeki trendin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Araştırma tanımlayıcı türde bir epidemiyolojik çalışmadır. Araştırmada veri kaynağı olarak Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu’nun yayımladığı intihar ve Türkiye geneli nüfus konulu istatistiklerden 2009-2018 yılları arasına ait olanlar kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada ilgili yıla ait nüfus, intihar sayısı, ülke genelinde ve illere göre kaba intihar hızı, intihar yöntemi, intihar nedeni, yaş grupları, cinsiyet, eğitim durumu, yasal medeni durum, mevsim ve yıl değişkenleri kullanılmıştır. Verilerin özetlenmesinde frekans dağılımları ve yüzdeliklerden yararlanılmıştır. Kategorik veriler arası ilişkiler Ki-kare testi ile değerlendirilmiş olup p<0,05 anlamlı kabul edilmiştir. BULGULAR: 2009 yılı için kaba intihar hızı yüz binde 4,02 iken; 2018 için 3,88’dir. On yıllık süreçte intiharların en sık gözlendiği cinsiyet erkek ve en sık gözlendiği yaş aralığı 15-24’tür. En sık kaydedilen intihar nedeni, neden bilinmiyordur. Bilinen nedenler arasında ilk sırada hastalık yer almaktadır. En sık başvurulan yöntem asıdır. İntiharların en sık izlendiği mevsimler ilkbahar ve yazdır. TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: Türkiye’nin kaba intihar hızı on yıllık süreç içerisinde yüz bin kişide 3,50-4,00 arasında değerler almıştır.

The crude incidence rate of suicide and related factors in Turkey between 2009 and 2018

INTRODUCTION: The aim of this study is to define suicides that occurred in Turkey between 2009 and 2018 and to examine the trend in the ten-year period.
METHODS: The research is a descriptive epidemiological study. Suicide and population statistics that is published between the years 2009-2018 by Turkey Statistical Institute is used as a data source in the study. In the research, the population of the relevant year, number of suicides, crude suicide rate of the country and provinces, suicide method, suicide reason, age groups, gender, education level, legal marital status, season and year variables are used. Frequency distributions and percentages are used to summarize the data. Relationships between categorical data are evaluated using the chi-square test, and p <0.05 is considered significant.
RESULTS: The crude suicide rate for 2009 is 4.02 per hundred thousand; for 2018 it is 3.88. The gender most frequently observed in suicide during the ten-year period is male and the most common age range is 15-24. The most frequently recorded cause of suicide is unknown. Among the known causes, the disease ranks first. The most commonly used method is hanging. The seasons in which suicides are most frequently watched are spring and summer.
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: Turkey's crude suicide rate has taken values between 3.50 and 4.00 per hundred thousand people in ten-year period.
