Öz

Yabancı cisim aspirasyonları süt çocukluğu ve erken çocukluk döneminde sık ve hayatıtehdit edebilen bir durumdur. Yabancı cisim aspirasyonu olan hastaların %50’sindetipik aspirasyon öyküsü bulunmayabilir. Bu çocuklarda, ilk öksürük nöbetine tanıkolunmamış olabilir veya ailelerin bu semptomların önemini anlayacak kadar medikalbilgisi olmayabilir. Atipik veya uzamış solunum bulguları hekim için uyarıcı olmalı, klinikve radyolojik bulgular olası yabancı cisim aspirasyonu açısından dikkatlice değerlendirilmelidir. Burada; infantil astım tanısı ile izlenmekte olan ve bronkodilatatörtedaviden fayda görmediği ağır atak sırasında çekilen toraks tomografi tetkikinde yabancı cisim saptanan bir vaka sunulmuştur
