İslam felsefesi geleneğinin en kapsamlı ve etkili sistem kurucu filozofu olan İbn Sînâ’nın ahlak, ev yönetimi ve siyasetten oluşan amelî felsefeye eserlerinde çok az yer vermesi, bu alanda çalışanların zihnini her zaman kurcalayagelmiştir. Bu çalışma, İbn Sînâ’nın amelî felsefeye dair görece sessizliğinin sebeplerini, onun ilimler sınıflamasına dair görüşleri ve din-felsefe ilişkisine yaklaşımı çerçevesinde tespit etmeyi ve amelî felsefenin İbn Sînâ sonrası İslam felsefesi geleneğindeki seyrine ışık tutmayı hedeflemektedir

“Prophetic Legislation”: An Examination of Avicenna’s View of Practical Philosophy

Öz

One of the main difficulties encountered in the study of
Avicenna’s approach to practical philosophy (al-hikma alamaliyya
or al-falsafa al-amaliyya) is his relative silence on
this field. Though he founded the most comprehensive and
effective philosophical system of the Middle Ages, Avicenna
only scarcely dealt, in his philosophical writings, with practical
philosophy, which includes ethics, economics and politics.
The aim of this essay is to identify the reasons why Avicenna
ignored practical philosophy through an examination
of his ideas on the classification of rational sciences and his
approach to the relationship between philosophy and religion.
It will also briefly discuss the development of practical
philosophy in Islamic philosophy after Avicenna.
