Determination of vaginal aerobic bacterial flora view of sexual cycle in bitch in the province of Diyarbakır

Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to investigate isolation and identification of the bacterial vaginal flora at different sexual cycle period in healthy bitch. Forty-six bitches were used as material. Vaginal swab samples were taken from the vagina of bitches, which were transported in the Stuart transport medium for examination at laboratory. Thereafter, inoculations were made onto 7% sheep blood agar, McConkey agar and Sabouraud dextrose agar; incubated at 37 oC for 1-3 days. At the end of the study, identification test was made on BD Diagnostic Instrument Systems. In this study 53 bacteria were isolated from 42 of 46 dogs however no bacteria were isolated from 4 of 46 dogs. In all stages of to cycle E.coli was isolated. Bacillus cereus and Proteus spp. were isolated in proestrus. In estrus, S. agalactiae and Candida spp. were isolated; S. agalactiae, S. chromogenes, S. intermedius, S. aereus and Streptococcus. grup C/G were isolated in metestrus and S. agalactiae, S. chromogenes, Proteus spp., S. intermedius, Candida spp., S. aereus, Enterococcus faecalis, S. uberis and S. hominis were isolated in anestrus. Diyarbakır ve Çevresindeki Sağlıklı Dişi Sokak Köpeklerinde Siklus Dönemine Göre Vaginal Aerobik Bakteriyel Floranın Saptanması.

Öz

Bu çalışmada, farklı siklus evresindeki sağlıklı dişi köpeklerde vaginal bakteriyel floranın izolasyon ve identifikasyonu amaçlandı. Çalışma için 46 adet dişi köpek materyal olarak kullanıldı. Dişi köpeklerin vaginasından alınan svap örnekleri Stuart Transport Medium içinde laboratuara ulaştırıldı. Alınan svab örneklerinden %7 koyun kanlı Agar, MacConkey Agar ve Sabouraud Dekstroz Agara ekimler yapıldı. Ekim yapılan besiyerleri, 37o C de 1-3 gün süreyle inkube edildi. İnkubasyon süresi sonunda identifikasyon için BD Phoenix TM 100 otomatik mikrobiyolojik identifikasyon sistemi kullanıldı. Çalışmadaki 46 köpeğin, 42’sinde 53 adet etken izole edilirken, 4’ünde hiçbir üremenin olmadığı görüldü. Siklusun bütün evrelerinde E. coli izole edildi. Proöstrusta Bacillus cereus ve Proteus spp; östrusta S.agalactiae ve Candida spp.; metöstrusta S. agalactiae, S.chromogenes, S. intermedius, S.aureus ve Streptococcus grup C/G; anöstrusta S. agalactiae, S. chromogenes, Proteus spp., S. intermedius, Candida spp., S. aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, S.uberis ve S. hominis gibi etkenler tespit edildi. Özet: Bu çalışmada, farklı siklus evresindeki sağlıklı dişi köpeklerde vaginal bakteriyel floranın izolasyon ve identifikasyonu amaçlandı. Çalışma için 46 adet dişi köpek materyal olarak kullanıldı.
