The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIB) and Social Policy: A Critical Review

Yıl 2023, Cilt: 21 Sayı: 83, 85 - 131, 30.09.2023

Öz

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), which emerged as a new competitor to the traditional multilateral development banks, has become an important object of evaluation due to its expanding membership, diversifying activities and being an important financing focus for Turkey. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the social policy understanding of the AIIB, which we claim to serve as a complementary element in the global capitalist system, and to reveal its role in the system within this framework.
