Waldorf ve Reggio Emilia Yaklaşımları ile İlgili Yapılan Lisansüstü Çalışmaların İncelenmesi

Okuldaki öğrenme sürecinin ilk basamağı olarak eğitimin diğer aşamalarına temel teşkil eden kademe, örgün eğitimde okul öncesi eğitimdir. Bu çalışmada; genellikle örgün eğitimde okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında kullanılan Waldorf ve Reggio Emilia yaklaşımlarına ilişkin lisansüstü çalışmaların incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi kullanılarak Ulusal Tez Merkezi veri tabanında yer alan 25 lisansüstü tez analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma, bu yaklaşımların çocukların bilişsel, duyuşsal gelişimine ve yaratıcılığına katkılarını ortaya koyması açısından önem taşımaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında belirlenen lisansüstü tezlere; amaçlarına, metodolojilerine ve sonuçlarına göre içerik analizi uygulanmıştır. Bu uygulama sonucunda, tezlerin amacının genellikle bu yaklaşımların çocukların beceri gelişimine etkisini incelemek olduğu, çalışmaların ağırlıklı olarak nitel araştırma yöntemleriyle gerçekleştirildiği, Waldorf ve Reggio Emilia yaklaşımlarının bireylerin insani ve yaratıcı yönünü geliştirdiği, eğitimin niteliğine olumlu katkıda bulunduğu ve bireyin öğrenme sürecine etkilerinin öğretmenler, okul yöneticileri ve aileler için büyük önem taşıdığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Toplumun ihtiyaç duyduğu bireylerin yetiştirilmesinde, örgün eğitimde okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında bu yaklaşımların kullanımına yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.

Preschool education, as the first stage of the learning process at school, forms the foundation for the subsequent levels of education. This study aims to examine graduate theses related to the Waldorf and Reggio Emilia approaches, which are commonly used in preschool education institutions within formal education. In the research, the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research designs, was employed, and 25 graduate theses available in the National Thesis Center database were analyzed. The study is important because it reveals the contributions of these approaches to children's cognitive, affective development and creativity. As a result of the content analysis conducted according to the purposes, methodologies, and findings of the identified theses, it was concluded that the main aim of these studies was to investigate the effects of these approaches on the development of children’s skills. It was also found that most studies adopted qualitative research designs and that the Waldorf and Reggio Emilia approaches contribute positively to educational quality by fostering individuals’ humanistic and creative aspects. The findings further highlight that these approaches play a significant role in enhancing the learning processes of children and hold importance for teachers, school administrators, and families. In this context, suggestions were made regarding the use of these approaches in preschool education institutions within formal education to support the development of individuals needed by society.
