Additional faunistic records of the family Staphylinidae (Coleoptera) from Balikesir province of Turkey

Abstract

With this study was aimed to determination of Staphylinidae species by using the window and pitfall traps from 11 different localities forests with old hollow oaks and beeches in Balıkesir province in western Turkey, during years of 2012 and 2013. As a result of this study, in totally 29 species, one species of Tachyporinae, two species of Omaliinae, three species of Oxytelinae, four species of Aleocharinae, seven species of Paederinae and twelve of Staphylininae belonging to Staphylinidae, were recorded from Balıkesir province of Turkey. Amongst them, Omalium cinnamomeum Kraatz, 1857, Anotylus tetracarinatus (Block, 1799), Bledius furcatus (Olivier, 1811) and Domene stilicina (Erichson, 1840) are reported from Marmara Region of Turkey for the first time. In addition, 18 species were new to the Balıkesir province.

Balıkesir ilinden Staphylinidae (Coleoptera) familyasına ait ek faunistik kayıtlar

Öz

Bu çalışma ile 2012 ve 2013 yıllarında Balıkesir ilinde yaşlı çökük meşe ve kayın ağaçlarından oluşan ormanlarda 11 farklı çalışma alanında pencere ve çukur tuzaklar kullanılarak Staphylinidae familyasına bağlı türlerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda, Balıkesir ilinden Staphylinidae familyasına ait, Tachyporinae altfamilyasından 1 tür, Omaliinae altfamilyasından 2 tür, Oxytelinae altfamilyasından 3 tür, Aleocharinae altfamilyasından 4 tür, Paederinae altfamilyasından 7 tür ve Staphylininae altfamilyasından 12 tür olmak üzere toplam 29 tür kaydedilmiştir. Tespit edilen türler içerisinde, Omalium cinnamomeum Kraatz, 1857, Anotylus tetracarinatus (Block, 1799), Bledius furcatus (Olivier, 1811) ve Domene stilicina (Erichson, 1840) türleri Marmara Bölgesi için ilk kayıt olarak rapor edilmiştir. Bunun yanında 18 tür Balıkesir ili lokal faunası için yenidir.
