The aim of this study is to determine the species of the family Tettigoniidae (Orthoptera) in İzmir during the years of 1990-1993. At the result of this research, totally 40 species belonging to the genera Acrometopa Fieber, Anadolua Ramme, Anterastes Brunner von Wattenwyl, Bucephaloptera Ebner, Bradyporus Charpentier, Conocephalus Thunberg, Decticus Serville, Drymadusa Stein, Eupholidoptera Maran, Isophya Brunner von Wattenwyl, Parapholidoptera Maran, Phaneroptera Serville, Platycleis Fieber, Poecilimon Fischer, Psorodonotus Brunner von Wattenwyl, Rhacocleis Fieber, Saga Charpentier, Tettigonia Linnaeus and Tylopsis Fieber, have been determined in the study area. Two species, namely Anterastes serbicus Brunner von Wattenwyl and Psorodonotus anatolicus Karabağ have been found for the first time in İzmir Province. The material examined and biological notes for each species are given in the text.

1990-1993 Yılları arasında yürütülen bu çalışmayla İzmir ilinde bulunan Tettigoniidae (Orthoptera) familyasına bağlı türlerin saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan araştırma sonunda Acrometopa Fieber, Anadolua Ramme, Anterastes Brunner von Wattenwyl, Bucephaloptera Ebner, Bradyporus Charpentier, Conocephalus Thunberg, Decticus Serville, Drymadusa Stein, Eupholidoptera Maran, Isophya Brunner von Wattenwyl, Parapholidoptera Maran, Phaneroptera Serville, Platycleis Fieber, Poecilimon Fischer, Psorodonotus Brunner von Wattenwyl, Rhacocleis Fieber, Saga Charpentier, Tettigonia Linnaeus and Tylopsis Fieber, cinslerine bağlı toplam 40 tür belirlenmiştir. Bu türlerden, Anterastes serbicus Brunner von Wattenwyl ve Psorodonotus anatolicus Karabağ adındaki iki türün İzmir ilinde bulundukları ilk kez bu araştırma ile ortaya konulmuştur. Her tür için incelenen materyal ve biyolojik notlar metin içinde verilmiştir.
