Species of the families of Melolonthidae. Cetcnlldae, Buprestidae and Elateridae (Coleoptera) occurring in strawberry fields in Bursa (Turkey)

Abstract

This study conducted in strawberry fields of Bursa during 1998-2000 was aimed at determining the diversity of Melolonthidae, Cetoniidae, Buprestidae and Elateridae families
of the order Coleoptera. Sampling was performed at weekly intervals between May and August and at biweekly intervals in early spring and fall. Visual observation and sweep netting were used for sampling. A total of 19 Coleopter species composed of 3, 4, 2 and 10 species belong to the families of Melolonthidae, Cetoniidae, Buprestidae and Elateridae, respectively, were determined. Two new species were found. The distribution, pest status and population levels of all species were studied in strawberry fields in Bursa.

Öz

Bu cahsma, Bursa iii ~ilek alanlannda Coleoptera takimmm Melolonthidae, Cetoniidae, Buprestidae ve Elateridae familyalanna ait turleri belirlemek amaciyla 1998-2000 yillannda yapilmistrr. Cahsrnalar, rnayrs-aqustos arasmda haftada bir, erken ilkbahar ve sonbaharda iki haftada bir yapilan gazlemlerle yurutulmustur. Turlerin orneklenmesinde gazle kontral ve atrapla yakalama yantemleri kullamlrmstrr. Sonuc olarak, Melolonthidae, Cetoniidae, Buprestidae ve Elateridae familyalanna ait sirastyla 3, 4, 2 ve 10 olmak uzere toplam 19 tur belirlenrnis, diger yandan saptanan turlerin Bursa iii cilek alanlanndaki yayill§lan, zerarhhk durumlan ve yogunluklan da incalenmistir.
