Egg yolk antibodies as alternative to antibiotics

Yıl 2012, Cilt: 23 Sayı: 2, 77 - 83, 31.12.2012

Antibiotics, for many years, extensively have been used in poultry industry for growth promotion, prophylactic
and therapeutic. However, resistance evolution to most of antibiotics from time to time was increased interesting
of alternative treatment methods. In this review, the recent data concerning usability as alternative to antibiotics, for
some diseases, in poultry industry of egg yolk antibodies are summarized.
