GHRELİN HORMONU VE BİYOLOJİK AKTİVİTELERİ

Öz




Ghrelin, 28 amino asitin 3. amino asitine n-oktanoik
asidin bağlanması ile meydana gelen ve ilk olarak midede keşfedilen bir peptid
olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Hormonunun ana sentez kaynağı midenin fundus
bölgesindeki nöroendokrin hücrelerdir. Ayrıca ghrelin, bağırsak, hipotalamus,
hipofiz, beynin bazı bölge-leri, kalp, karaciğer, uterus, böbrek, yağ doku,
plasental doku, immün hücreler, pankreas, prostat dokusu, tükrük ve bazı bitki
türlerinde sentezlenmektedir. Bu makale, ghrelin hormonunun tespit edilen nöro-endokrinolojik
ve fizyolojik etkileri hakkında bilgi içermektedir.
