Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ugur DURAN

Dr. Ugur Duran is now an Associate Professor Doctor (since July 2022) at Iskenderun Technical University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Basic Sciences of Engineering, Hatay, Türkiye, and earlier held a position as Assistant Professor Doctor (October 2020-July 2022) in the same university and earlier held a position as Lecturer in the same university (February 2018- October 2020). He has more than 7 years of academic experience, and he has more than 10 years of research experience. He graduated from the Department of Mathematics in 2014 from the Gaziantep University, Gaziantep, Türkiye. He has completed an M.Sc. (graduated in 2016) and a Ph.D. (graduated in 2020) in Analysis and the Theory of Functions from the Gaziantep University, Gaziantep, Türkiye, under the respected supervisor Prof. Dr. Mehmet Acikgoz.

He was awarded by The Graduate School of Natural and Applied Science, Gaziantep University as “The Award of Master Thesis for 2015-2016 Academic Year” thanks to his good Master's Thesis (Titled “Post Quantum Calculus”) and several quality research papers indexed by SCI-Expanded and Scopus. Also, Dr. Ugur Duran was awarded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) for 2211-A Ph.D. Scholarship along the dates 2016-2020.

Dr. Ugur Duran has more than 101 research papers to his credit in journals of national and international repute, including SCI journals. Apart from publications, he has participated in various National as well as International Conferences/Symposium and presented research papers. Dr. Ugur Duran has also published several book chapters in reputed international publications. He has worked on umbral calculus, integral transforms, analytic number theory, special number sequences, special polynomials, p-adic analysis, quantum calculus (q-calculus), post quantum calculus ((p,q)-calculus), and special functions.

He has served as a reviewer (more than 350 times) in various international journals, including Demonstratio Mathematica, AIMS Mathematics, The Ramanujan Journal, Filomat, Mediterranean Journal of Mathematics, SN Applied Sciences, TWMS Journal of Applied and Engineering Mathematics, Pattern Recognition, Bulletin of Iranian Mathematical Society, Springer Journals, Hindawi Journals, MDPI Journals, etc. He has served as an editor in several international journals, including the Journal of Nonlinear Sciences and Applications (Managing Editor and Editorial Board), Fundamental Journal of Mathematics and Applications (Managing Editor), Advances in Differential Equations and Control Processes (Special Issue Editor), Scientific Reports (Editor) etc.

I am Ayşe Karagenç, born on May 15, 1992, in Kahramanmaraş. I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education in Kahramanmaraş, and then received my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Gaziantep University. I subsequently specialized in Analysis and Function Theory through my master’s studies and completed my Ph.D. in the same field at Gaziantep University.
Throughout my academic career, I have conducted research in mathematical analysis and function theory. I have served as an editor for various national and international journals. In addition, I have published a total of five academic papers, one of which is indexed in the SCI-Expanded (SCIE).
As of 2025, I am working as an Assoc. Prof. at Cappadocia University.
