About
Fundamental Journal of Mathematics and Applications (FUJMA) (Fundam. J. Math. Appl.) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal devoted to the publication of high-quality and original contributions in mathematical analysis and its diverse applications, with particular emphasis on applied mathematics and interdisciplinary developments.
Established in 2018, the journal has demonstrated continuous publication and editorial stability. FUJMA has been indexed in TR Index since 2021 and in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) since 2023, reflecting its adherence to recognized international publishing and ethical standards.
FUJMA is published quarterly (March, June, September, and December) in an online-only format (e-ISSN: 2645-8845), ensuring timely dissemination and global accessibility of published research.
The journal operates a rigorous double-blind peer review process and maintains a selective editorial policy focused on originality, mathematical rigor, and relevance to the advancement of the field. FUJMA publishes original research articles, review papers, and survey articles that contribute substantially to mathematical analysis and its applications.
In order to promote equitable access to publishing opportunities, FUJMA does not charge any submission or article processing fees. As a fully open-access journal, it provides immediate and unrestricted access to all published content, supporting the global exchange of scientific knowledge without financial, legal, or technical barriers.
Accepted manuscripts are published online on a continuous basis upon completion of the editorial and production process, ensuring rapid communication of research findings.
To maintain high ethical and scholarly standards, all submissions are screened for similarity, and manuscripts must have a similarity index below 30%, excluding references. In addition, the journal’s authorship policy generally permits a maximum of one (1) publication per calendar year per author or co-author, in order to ensure diversity and broad representation of contributors.

Special Issue: Epidemic Mathematical Models with Optimal Control, Stability, Chaos, and Bifurcation with Ordinary Derivatives, Fractional Derivatives with Delay
The Fundamental Journal of Mathematics and Applications is pleased to announce a forthcoming Special Issue dedicated to recent advances in mathematical epidemiology, with a particular emphasis on the modeling and analysis of infectious diseases.
This Special Issue aims to bring together high-quality research contributions that explore modern mathematical approaches to understanding the spread, control, and dynamics of epidemics. We especially welcome studies focusing on discrete-time models, while contributions based on continuous-time frameworks are equally encouraged.
🔬 Scope and Topics
Mathematical epidemiology plays a crucial role in analyzing disease dynamics at the population level. Mathematical models serve as powerful tools to:
- Understand complex biological and epidemiological systems
- Analyze system behavior and stability properties
- Evaluate intervention and control strategies
- Predict disease spread under varying conditions
In this context, both theoretical and applied contributions are invited, including but not limited to:
- Epidemiological mathematical models
- Basic reproduction number (R₀)
- Endemic equilibrium and stability analysis
- Global asymptotic stability
- Incidence rates and transmission dynamics
- Lyapunov methods
- Discretization techniques and nonstandard difference schemes
- Dynamical systems and chaos theory
- Bifurcation analysis
- Sensitivity analysis
📐 Modeling Perspectives
Submissions may address different modeling paradigms, including:
- Discrete Models: Systems where time or state variables evolve in discrete steps
- Continuous Models: Systems described by continuous variables, often via differential equations
- Dynamic Models: Time-dependent systems capturing evolving processes
- Static Models: Time-invariant systems assuming fixed conditions
