THE ROLE OF PERCEIEVED MOTIVATIONAL CLIMATE IN DETERMINING SPORT MOTIVATION AND FLOW IN ELITE MALE AND FEMALE VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of perceived motivational climate in determining sport motivation and flow in elite male and female volleyball players. One hundred and thirteen female (Mage=23.41±5.33) and ninetyone male (Mage=26.39±4.87), totally two hundred and four volleyball players voluntarily participated in this study. Descriptive statistics and stepwise multiple regression analysis was used to determine whether the perceived motivational climate might predict sport motivation and flow state of elite male and female volleyball players. As a result, it can be said that perceived motivational climate is predictor of different subscales of sport motivation and flow state for elite male and female volleyball players.
