AMERİKAN FUTBOL OYUNCULARININ SOMATOTİPLERİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı elit Amerikan futbol oyuncularının somatotip özelliklerini değerlendirmekti. Heath-Carter antropometrik somatotip metod yaşlarının ortalaması 20.96±1.35 yıl olan 28 asil oyuncuya (15 geride ve 13 çizgide oynayanlar) uygulandı. Oyuncular için somatotiplerin çoğu mezomorfta (X=7.39) dominanttı. Yüksek mezomorfik komponent Amerikan futbol oyuncularında vücut kompozisyonunun belirlenmesinde önemli bir faktördür.

SOMATOTYPES OF AMERICAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the somatotype characteristics of elite American Football Players. The Heath/Carter anthropometric somatotype method was applied to 28 basis players (15 backs and 13 linemens) aged 20.96±1.35 yrs of age. Most of somatotypes were dominant mesomorphs (X= 7.39) for the players. A higher mesomorphic component was a more important factor determining body composition in the American football players.
