Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine; the relationship between smokers and non smokers and doing sports and sedentary, deciding physiological and anthropometric measurements of KTÜ, and the first year students of KTÜ, randomly chosen and aged 18-25. According to the results of t-test, significant difference was found between smokers (n- 58 %40.8) and non-smokers (n= 84 %59) regarding body weight, height, vital capacity, leg strength, anaerobic power, aerobic power, percent body fat. Between athletes and non-athletes in the same group, significant difference was observed at 0.05 level after t-test regarding vital capacity, flexibility, hand grip (left and right) back strength, leg strength, anaerobic power, aerobic power, percent body fat, antropometric structures, endomorphic and mezomorphic variables.
