It is important that a tool that can measure the flow experience, which is an important dimension of the intrinsic motivations frequently used in recreation research, is evaluated for recreational activities and adapted to Turkish. The purpose of study from this point is that; to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Flow Form Scale Short form for recreational activities which is Rheinberg et al. (2003) and the Turkish version of the scale, whose original name is 'Flow Kurz Scale' (Flow Short Scale), was adapted to Turkish by İşigüzel and Çam (2014). In the study, the sample size was tested with the data obtained from 281 university students (.84; 2052, 218, p<0.001), and then a 2-dimensional structure was obtained by exploratory factor analysis. In accordance with the exploratory factor analysis, the cut-off value was determined as .40 and the measurement tool consisting of 13 items in total was collected in two sub-dimensions. As a result of the factor analysis, in which 51% of the total variance was explained, factor loads ranging from .48 to .80 were obtained. The internal consistency coefficient of .86 for the first sub-dimension was determined as .70 for the second sub-dimension. The overall internal consistency coefficient of the efficiency experience scale was found to be .78. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed to test the validity and accuracy of the structure obtained after the exploratory factor analysis. It is seen that CFA performed after test-retest provides evidence of construct validity (RMSEA .083, SRMR 0.72, NFI 0.90, CFI 0.93, NNFI 0.91, x2 / df 3.14). As a result, a valid and reliable measurement tool has been put forward in determining the flow status and activity experience in participating in recreational activities.
