Depremi Deneyimlemiş Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmen Adaylarının 6 Şubat 2023 Depremine Yönelik Algıları

The purpose of the research in question is to reach the perceptions and comments of Social Studies Teacher Candidates who experienced the Kahramanmaraş Earthquake(s) on February 6, 2023, regarding the earthquake. The underlying reason for this purpose is that influential citizens are asked to interpret the preparedness for natural disasters, which is a global and social problem, based on their own experiences and to offer possible solutions. The research in question, which was prepared adhering to the above-mentioned purpose, also has sub-objectives such as raising awareness about earthquakes, expressing the earthquake and its effects, establishing effective citizen-earthquake relations, and producing solutions for earthquakes and other natural disasters. . The data of the research, which was carried out using the qualitative method in line with the objectives, was collected through a semi-structured interview form evaluated and approved by 4 associate professors and 1 professor. The interview form in question also passed the approval of the ethics committee. The data obtained was analyzed using the content analysis technique. The study group of the research consists of 12 Social Studies Teacher Candidates with earthquake experience. Participants were coded as K1, K2, K3…K12. The findings obtained in the research were tabulated systematically by creating a table specific to each question, and the tables were interpreted. When the tables were examined, interesting results were encountered, such as positive changes occurred in the majority of participants after the earthquake and all participants agreed that our country's earthquake preparedness level was not sufficient. Additionally, 3 suggestions were presented regarding earthquake preparedness.

Söz konusu araştırmanın amacı, 6 Şubat 2023 Kahramanmaraş Depremini/Depremlerini deneyimlemiş bulunan Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmen Adayları’nın depreme yönelik algı ve yorumlarına ulaşmaktır. Bu amacın temelini oluşturan sebep ise, etkili vatandaşın küresel ve toplumsal bir sorun olan doğal afetlere yönelik hazırlıklı olma durumunu kendi deneyimlerinden yola çıkarak yorumlamaları ve olası çözüm önerileri sunabilmesinin istenmesidir. Bahsedilen amaca sadık kalarak hazırlanan bahse konu araştırma, depreme yönelik farkındalık oluşturma, deprem ve depremin yarattığı etkileri ifade edebilme, etkili vatandaş ve deprem ilişkisini kurabilme, depreme ve diğer doğal afetlere yönelik çözümler üretebilme gibi alt amaçlar da taşımaktadır. Amaçlar doğrultusunda nitel bir yöntem kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın verileri, 4 doçent ve 1 profesör tarafından değerlendirilmiş ve onaylanmış yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Söz konusu görüşme formu etik kurul onayından da geçmiştir. Elde edilen veriler, içerik analizi tekniği ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu deprem deneyimi olan, 12 adet Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmen Adayı oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcılar K1, K2, K3… K12 şeklinde kodlanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular her soruya özel bir tablo olmak suretiyle sistematik bir biçimde tablolaştırılmış ve tablolar yorumlanmıştır. Tablolar incelendiğinde, deprem sonrasında katılımcıların çoğunluğunda olumlu değişimler de meydana geldiği, katılımcıların tamamının ülkemizin depreme hazırlık durumunun yeterli olmadığı konusunda fikir birliğinde olmaları gibi ilginç sonuçlarla karşılaşılmıştır. Ayrıca deprem hazırlığına yönelik 3 adet de öneri sunulmuştur.
