Öz
Sıvılaştırılmış doğal gazın LNG deniz tankerleriyle taşınması 1959 yılında başlamış olup o günden günümüze gelişerek ve yaygınlaşarak devam etmiştir. Günümüzde LNG gemilerinin özelleşmiş bir şekli olan Yüzer Depolama ve Yeniden Gazlaştırma Ünitesi FSRU özellikle konvansiyonel LNG terminallerinin görevlerini üstlenmektedir. Türkiye de hâlihazırda iki adet FSRU tesisi hizmet vermektedir. Bu gemi ve terminal özelliğindeki özel tip tesislerin operasyon süreçleri özel bilgi birikimi gerektirmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye‟de yeni yeni gelişmekte olan bu sektörün temel işlev ve operasyonları incelenecektir

Öz
The transportation of liquefied natural gas LNG with sea tankers started in 1959 and since then has continued to develop and grow up. Today, The Floating Storage and re-gasification unit FSRU , a specialized form of LNG ships, is particularly responsible for the tasks of conventional LNG terminals. Currently, two FSRU plants are serving for Turkey. These special types of plants have both ship and terminal features, and operational processes require specific knowledge. In this study, basic functions and operations of the this newly developing sector in Turkey will be examined
