Especially depletion of non-renewable resources in
world rapidly and improper practices has begun to concern primarily businesses
and then consumers compared to past, conscious consumption behaviour became a
must from all ages of consumers’ behaviour. From this point of view, the
purpose of this study is to present the conscious consumption behaviour of Y
generation consumers based on the idea that generations have different
qualifications. Within a qualitative approach, deep interview technique was
employed for data collection. In order to define study group, convenience
sampling which is a one of purposive sampling methods was used. Each
participant in study group constitutes Y generation consumers. In the study,
semi-structured interview form was used for data collection tool. Descriptive
analysis technique was benefited for analysis of data gathered from interviews.
According to the findings of study, it is seen that Y generation consumers
concentrate on ethical behaviour and socially responsible behaviour in their
conscious consumption behaviour among other dimensions.
