DİZ OSTEOARTRİTİ TEDAVİSİNDE YÜZEYSEL SICAK SOĞUK UYGULAMA: KANITLAR YETERLİ Mİ?

Öz

Diz osteoartriti olan hastalara ağrı kontrolü için nonfarmakolojik yöntem olarak sıcak soğuk uygulama yapılması gerektiğine ilişkin bilgi literatürde vardır. Ancak diz osteoartritide yüzeysel sıcak soğuk uygulamanın terapötik etkisini destekleyen bilimsel verilerin temeli zayıftır. Bu makalenin amacı, diz OA tedavisinde yüzeysel sıcak soğuk uygulamaya ilişkin kanıtlar hakkında temel bilgileri ele almaktır.

SUPERFICIAL HOT AND COLD APPLICATION IN THE TREATMENT OF KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS: ARE THE EVIDENCE ENOUGH?

Öz

The information which is related to the need to perform hot and cold applications as non-pharmacological methods for pain control in patients with knee osteoarthritis is available in the literature. However, the basis of scientific data supporting the therapeutic effect of the superficial hot and cold application in knee osteoarthritis is weak. The purpose of this article is to consider the basic information about the evidence for the superficial hot and cold application in the treatment of knee OA.
