Isolated Oculomotor Nerve Palsy due to Compression by a Large Intracranial Aneurysm After Blunt Head Trauma

Öz

53-year-old male patient is presented with ptosis in his right eye 5 days after blunt head trauma. He had no complained of retrobulber pain, headache and diplopia. No neurological deficits were detected except oculomotor nevre palsy. A digital subtraction angiogram revealed a large saccular aneurysm (20x20 mm) in the bifurcation of the right internal carotid and posterior communicating artery. In this case report, we present an isolated oculomotor nevre palsy case with the intracranial aneurysm leading to compression after blunt head trauma.

Künt kafa travması sonrası büyük bir intrakranial anevrizma basısı nedenli izole okülomotor sinir felci

Öz

53 yaşında erkek hasta başına aldığı künt travmadan 5 gün sonra sağ üst göz kapağında düşme şikayeti ile başvurdu. Hastanın göz arkasında ağrı, baş ağrısı ve çift görme şikayetleri yoktu. Nörolojik muayenesinde okülomotor sinir felci dışında başka bir patolojik bulgu yoktu. Dijital substraksiyon anjiyografide sağ karotis interna posterior kommunikan arter birleşim yerinde 20x20 mm boyutlarında intrakranial anevrizma olduğu görüldü. Makalemizde başına aldığı künt travma sonrası oluşan büyük bir intrakranial anevrizma basısı nedenli okülomotor sinir felci görülen olgunun sunumu amaçlandı.
